Six Days on the Road, 29 Years Later

It’s been 29 years since Six Days on the Road — and this week, we’re going back to one of the most memorable eras in Sawyer Brown history.

In this special anniversary episode of The Boys & Me Podcast, Mark, Hobie, and Madison revisit the Six Days on the Road album and look back on the songs, stories, and moments that still stand out nearly three decades later.

We kick things off by rewatching the “Six Days on the Road” music video, breaking down what still jumps out now, what fans may miss, and what instantly takes them back to that shoot.

Then Mark and Hobie dive into a General Album Q&A, sharing memories from the recording process, the vibe in the studio, why Mac McAnally was the right producer, and what made this album feel different from the one before it.

From there, the crew each rank their Top 5 tracks from the album, debate sleepers, songs that aged the best, and which cuts still hit hardest all these years later.

Then it’s time for Six Days Album Superlatives — from best highway song to biggest crowd reaction, most underrated track, hardest song to sing, and the non-single that could’ve been.

And to close it out, Mark and Hobie go head-to-head in Finish the Lyric / Lyric Recall, racing to identify which songs these lyrics came from.

If you love 90s Sawyer Brown, this one’s a time capsule.
