The God Moments Behind Sawyer Brown
Faith has always been part of the story.
In this special episode of The Boys & Me Podcast, Mark and Hobie reflect on the role faith has played in their lives, their music, and the Sawyer Brown journey — from their earliest church roots to the moments that felt too perfectly timed to be anything but God at work.
We start with Church Roots Q&A, looking back on the church music, hymns, Sunday mornings, and early experiences that helped shape their love of music before the world ever did.
Then we revisit Making Ring the Bell — talking about where the idea came from, what the process stretched in them personally, and what that film still means all these years later.
We also count down Top 5 Casting Crowns Songs, with Mark and Hobie each sharing the songs that have meant the most to them and why those songs still hit so deeply today.
From there, the episode turns deeply personal in God Moments in the SB Journey, as they share the moments in Sawyer Brown’s history where they clearly saw God moving — open doors, closed doors, hard seasons, answered prayers, and the parts of the story that feel most God-written.
And to close it out, we end with Joyful Noise — a segment all about the songs, artists, and music memories that simply bring joy.
This is one of the most personal episodes we’ve done… and one of the most meaningful.
